Situation

For the past five years, Marquette has consistently doubled the number of applications for freshman admittance. Its goal is to continue this double-digit growth for the coming years.

To achieve continual growth, Marquette needed to increase its brand awareness.

Challenge

Given a tight budget, Zizzo Group Marketing + PR + New Media (ZGM+PR+NM) was challenged with crafting a creative message and media plan that met the objective of projecting a positive image of the university to parents and prospective students. The ultimate goal was to increase interest in and applications to Marquette.

Results

The campaign, consisting of radio, newspaper and outdoor advertising, resulted in a record number of applications: 11,000 for just 1,800 openings.
