New Faces, New Attitude: ZG Acquires Thirsty Boy

We’re excited to announce that Zizzo Group has joined forces with one of the most creative and innovative shops in Milwaukee, Thirsty Boy – creating a Voltron of immersive and integrated marketing services.

Founded by Steve Koeneke in 2008, Thirsty Boy made a name for itself with its confluence of concept, content and technology. From breathtaking websites to groundbreaking virtual reality experiences, they bring with them new clients, new talents, and new opportunities to grow our core business. Koeneke, who has a background in copywriting as well as digital project management, has joined ZG as VP of Interactive as well as Creative Director.

“We see this as a positive thing for us and, most importantly, our clients,” said Koeneke. “Our clients will now have access to a much broader range of integrated services including PR, traditional and digital media planning and buying, in-house production and more, while still delivering innovative ideas for our clients.”

This is the sixth acquisition in our 21-year history, and one of several strategic moves that we have planned as we stake our claim as the region’s first engagement agency. With this acquisition, we’ve introduced a ton of insightful, creative folks who bring with them digital expertise and thought leadership in immersive technologies, which include augmented reality, virtual reality and three-dimensional experiences.
