Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta is viewed as one of the top specialty-referral hospitals in the southeast and a leader in many service lines, but the organization wanted to make a more personal connection with the community. So the 410-hospital launched Atlanta Health Experts, an integrated health education and awareness program.
The effort, created in partnership with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, local TV and radio stations, and Milwaukee's Zizzo Group Advertising and PR, will bring healthcare information from Saint Joseph's doctors to the community through print, TV, radio, and a Web site, www.atlantahealthexperts.com. Hospital marketers hope the program will complement the hospitals other community outreach initiatives, which include community educational events, health screenings, and classes.
"We saw a unique opportunity to provide the metro-Atlanta area with comprehensive health resources for research, prevention, treatment and more from local, dedicated doctors" said Allison Hager, director of marketing and public relations at Saint Joseph's, in a release. "We are pleased to partner with Zizzo Group to expand our efforts to improve the lives of Atlanta residents."
The 10- and 30-second TV spots certainly catch attention. "At Saint Joseph's Hospital, we understand that women aren't just smaller versions of men," says cardiologist Gina Lundberg. She then directs viewers to learn more about Saint Joseph's Heart Center for Women on the Atlanta Health Experts Web site.
"Saint Joseph's has built a reputation as a leading health care provider and a well-established member of the community that sincerely cares about the people it serves," said Anne Zizzo, president and CEO of ZGA+PR, in a release. "We are excited to help expand their efforts to educate metro-Atlanta residents about how Saint Joseph's and its experts can help enhance their well-being."
Saint Josephs plans to run the program for several years and will continue to adapt it to meet its objectives.
