We’re Celebrating the Good with Share Lemonade™

Rather than be weighed down by what feels like a constant onslaught of bad news, we decided to make some lemonade – Share Lemonade!

Putting our heads together with FOX6 MKE created Share Lemonade, a hyper-local good news digital and on-air storytelling ecosystem to help lift spirits in Southeastern Wisconsin and celebrate the good that is out there but difficult to find these days. Launched on April 6, the program features a custom website and social channels, as well as guest pieces from our friends at Summerfest and the Milwaukee Brewers.

“You know that saying, ‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade?’ That’s exactly what we’re sharing,” says Anne Zizzo, our fearless leader. “Our community needed a place to come together and share good news and positive stories. We hope ShareLemonade.com will bring people happiness and help remind us that we’re all human, and we’re in this together.”

But this is just the start! To help support the Share Lemonade movement, local media leaders from Clear Channel Outdoor, Entercom Milwaukee, iHeartMedia, Milwaukee Radio Alliance, Milwaukee Radio Group, OnMilwaukee.com and the Milwaukee Business Journal stepped up to help get the word out. Back on the (work from) homefront, we’ve started on future phases of ShareLemonade.com that will integrate user-generated content (UGC), syndicated content from FOX6, and even more guest pieces from our growing list of collaborators.

Plus, we’re taking the good vibes of Share Lemonade offline with the help of our friends and neighbors in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. On Friday, April 10, businesses throughout Milwaukee’s central business districts are participating in a Lemonade Light-Up, with buildings and landmarks illuminated in yellow – the color of hope, friendship and, yes, lemonade.
