Five Questions With Joe Zizzo

We’d love for you to get to know one of our insanely talented account directors! We put Joe in the hot seat (metaphorically, of course!) to discover his passions, both on the job and off the clock.

We asked him five questions. Here’s what Joe had to say!

What’s the best work-related tip you’ve ever received?
Trust your coworkers. Everyone is working toward one common goal, and we are all on the same team. When you empower your coworkers in their craft, their best work shines.

How do you like to relax?
I like to relax in many ways, but my favorite way is being outside in nature. Whether it is waking up at 4 a.m. to go hunting along with all of the scouting beforehand, ice fishing in the winter, or enjoying the summers on the lake at our family lake house in the Minocqua area, I just love to be outside.

What song or album can you listen to again and again without getting sick of it?
The album Circles, by Mac Miller. When the news broke of his passing, I remember being so sad. I couldn’t believe that 2.5 years later, his family and producers finished that album. I remember the day it came out, I spent all morning listening to it on repeat.

What inspires you – professionally and in life?
My family. Seeing the drive my mother had in starting and sustaining ZG, my father’s commitment to his place of employment for 30+ years, my wife’s dedication to helping those in need by being a nurse, and providing for my infant daughter make me strive to be the best person I can – day in and day out.

If you could only watch one for the rest of your life, which would you choose – football or basketball?
This question is not fair, as both can impact my week depending on the outcome of the game, but I would say football. The Green Bay Packers make up 75% of my sports identity. Being an owner of the franchise, as well as on the waitlist for season tickets, I just couldn’t imagine not watching them.
